Pandora Diner, 1741 So. Black Horse Pike, Williamstown, NJ  08094

My husband and I decided to have breakfast at the newly opened diner on the Black Horse Pike or Rt. 322 in Williamstown, formerly known as Peter’s Diner.  It had closed soon after the Covid emergency began.  Our first thought was,  “How bad can someone make breakfast?”  Well, that question was answered shortly after we arrived.

The hostess seated us, but it took a few minutes for the waitress to arrive to take our order.  She was in such a hurry that my husband had to use his business voice to get her attention when she rushed away.  I wanted cranberry juice to go along with my iced tea.  Once our order was complete she rushed away, again.

Our breakfast finally arrived with my husband’s three egg omelet with corned beef, home fries, white toast and coffee.  The problems with the order were the following:

  1.  The coffee was weak
  2. His has browns were burned all across the top which made them inedible.
  3. The toast had little to no butter on the slices, and there was no extra butter on the table.
  4. She offered us no water.
  5. The corned beef in the omelet was in huge pieces.  It was supposed to have been corned beef hash.  (My husband had asked the waitress about including it when she took our order.)
  6. The omelet was not cooked all the way through.  It was runny inside.
  7. The rest of the potatoes were bland with no flavor!! Not even salt and pepper.

As for my order of Egg Beaters, hash browns, and link sausage, I had a similar problems.

  1. They potatoes tasted absolutely RAW!!  I don’t know how they did that.  No flavor except raw potato.
  2.   My hash browns were also very brown on top and, in places, burned.
  3. The sausage was good in that it was well cooked.
  4. My iced tea glass was never refilled.

When the cashier asked, “How was everything?”, I answered “Terrible.”

No dining is pleasant when the waitress/waiter has no time to listen to you.  Needless to say, we will NOT be going back.

There was no mention of wine or alcoholic drinks on the menu nor did I see a bar.

This restaurant deserves no more than 1/2 plate.
