My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversay at The Capital Grille in Cherry Hill. It has become our favorite restaurant for family celebrations since we first dined in one near the National Aquarium in Baltimore, MD. The food has always been outstanding and the selection of wines has also been top notch.
We were so pleased to see a red Rose on our table with a very nice note wishing us a Happy Anniversary. That was thoughtful of them.
This night there were 11 in all. Because of our large party, we were shown to the Board Room where we had complete privacy. Our waiter, Bob, was wonderful. He recommended wines to accompany our meal and specials of the evening.
My husband and I had BONE-IN RIBEYE – 22 OZ which had been aged for 45 days. They were delicious and cooked to a Medium Rare as we ordered. My sister had SEA SCALLOPS WITH ASPARAGUS, SHIITAKE MUSHROOMS, PARSNIP PURÉE AND LOBSTER BORDELAISE. She loved them. One of the grandchildren ordered the ROASTED RACK OF LAMB WITH MINT GREMOLATA. He ate all of it and said it was delicious.
Others ordered FILET MIGNON – 10 OZ and LOBSTER MAC ‘N’ CHEESE. The children enjoyed French Fries with Hamburgers and Specially Prepared Pasta Alfredo as well as the Mac ‘N’ Cheese. We ordered Salads chosen from the Menu to suit each person.
Sides included FRENCH BEANS WITH HEIRLOOM TOMATOES, SAM’S MASHED POTATOES, and SOY GLAZED BRUSSELS SPROUTS WITH BACON. There was enough for all of us to share, and they were all very good. Even the children had their fill of the Potatoes and Brussels Sprouts.
The Capital Grille has a full bar and several dining areas with 5 Private Rooms.
It is an excellent place to dine, therefore, rating 5 plates!!
