Monarch Diner
My husband and I ordered from the Monarch Diner this night in hopes of good food. We had frequented the same location when it was known as PB’s Diner. We had several disappointments which included food being served cold after a considerable wait – with guests no less, waitresses going off duty after our order had been taken which caused our having to wait at least thirty minutes for dinner to be served cold again, and not good food when it was served in a timely manner.
Our hopes were that with new delivery services available and a change of name the place would offer something tasty. I was once again disappointed. I had ordered Traditional Baked MeatLoaf with Mushroom Gravy, a typical diner food, with Rice Pilaf, and the House Made Medley. The MeatLoaf was edible, but without much flavor, and the Rice Pilaf was also without much taste.
My husband ordered a pasta dish of Chicken Francaise over Linguine. He did not have too much to complain about, however.
But, based on past experience with this diner and the lack of flavor in the MeatLoaf, I will give Monarch Diner 3 plates.
